John has lived in the Lakes Region for 52 years, having moved here from Kittery Point, Maine, where he was born & raised. He started out as an apprentice in 1971 working for Moe Gouin Plumbing, got his plumbing license & opened John Ferguson Plumbing & Heating in 1976.
He now resides in Gilford with his wife of 52 years, Jill, and together they operate John Ferguson Plumbing & Heating along with their son Brett, who is a licensed plumber.
John loves the outdoors, having been an avid camper for many years. At this time he & his wife spend long weekends from May thru October at their summer place, a seasonal campground, in Old Orchard Beach Maine. He is also a member of the Elks.

Jill has lived in the Lakes Region area also for 52 years, having moved here from Kittery, Maine. She & John were married in 1971, she worked for New England Tel & Tel from 1971 until 1986, when she "retired" to work in John's plumbing office full time. Since then she's taken on a few jobs here and there, the most recent as a medical transcriptionist, working from home. Her most rewarding job, though, has been grandmother to her "best bud" and granddaughter, Morgan, who is now 21-1/2 years old and a senior at UMass Amherst studying psychology, on the Dean's List we might add! Morgan makes her grandparents very proud. Jill is now in the plumbing office full time and she will be more than happy to help you with scheduling your plumbing needs.
Brett Ferguson, Licensed Plumber
Brett was born & raised in Gilford, attended Gilford schools and now lives in Sanbornton. Brett attended Ohio Auto Diesel in Cleveland Ohio and upon graduation decided to give plumbing a try after completing his schooling. He's been a licensed plumber, working for the family business for 28 years, having started in 1995.
He loves taking day trips in his Jeep with his significant other checking out the many different and unique breweries throughout the state. He is also very proud of his daughter, Morgan, a senior at UMass Amherst.
